dc.description.abstract Screening for viruses is an essential step in the continuum of research that is expected to lead to new treatment strategies in patients with virus-positive tumors. The presence of HPV was determined using immunohistochemistry Among the 30 patients, 20 male (66.7%) and 10 female (33.3%) with (2:1) male: female ratio, only two samples (6.7%) were positive for HPV, while 28(93.3%) were negative. the pathogenic causative role of HPV infection in Sudanese patients with gastric cancer was not established. en_US
